Quiz Night

For the last few months we’ve been working away here at Red Rose to organise a quiz night in aid of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. (For more details on our charity see this earlier blog post) and last night (25/5/12) was the big day.

Recently our spare nights off have been spent begging for raffle prizes, haggling with caterers and bars, advertising for teams and of course writing the questions!

We had 17 teams of four, and had to turn down at least five more as the hall was at capacity. The raffle was brilliantly supported by the local businesses, with many of them also entering teams. Individuals have been equally generous in their support and we thank you all so much for getting involved.

And now, the part you’ve all been waiting for, the grand total raised… £1,636.93! A staggering amount and again we thank you all, we couldn’t run these events without the support of the individuals and businesses that so kindly donate and help us raise funds for this very deserving cause.

The quiz was won by the 'Wangford Wallies' with each member receiving a gift bag donated by Adnams brewery of Southwold containg a voucher for a tour of their new distellery and a bottle of their gin.
